First of all, we are so lucky right now. No one is around us on our floor and no one is above us….yet! However, this is a new place in a great area and we are seeing more and more moving trucks at the other building each week haha. “Won’t you NOT be our neighbor?!”
Here’s just what has changed since moving to an Apartment..
I find we are using spaces a lot better. Surprisingly the storage here is a lot better than our old house, a linen closet IN the bathroom is like an incredible blessing.. You mean I don’t have to practically redress to go grab a towel if I forget hahaha?! YES!!
We have no dinner table (or space for one). This is harder, just because the bar area is weird with a baby, but I do like when Tristan sits there while I’m in the kitchen!
Baby squeals are cute, but stressful. She was in that phase where she just squeals out of nowhere. It’s wasn’t very cute when I was stressed if they heard it back in NC, and if we were just reported to child services here.
Tristan’s closet vs. the living room. If I could change one thing it would be that Tristan’s closet (which is the biggest closet) would’ve have been smaller somehow to add more space to the living room! It’s tiny and not great size for hosting, but worked great as an extra bedroom when my family came in town!
The stairs. Honestly, maybe my weight loss is less about Whole30 and more about the long flight of stairs we have to take to do anything haha! At least we aren’t the 3rd floor 🙃 I’m also not sure if I would’ve liked the ground level because we like to have our windows open all day to let in light and that would probably be awkward when I was just laying around nursing a baby or just laying around in general haha! #dontmakeeyecontact
However, I can’t imagine being a 7 year old boy, who went from running, climbing and jumping down the hallway in our house, and backyard to having to restrain way more. I try to remember that as I stress out, promise.
