It’s Day 184 from the
tundra.. I mean Iowa.
The sun is shining, but the snow isn’t responding to it’s power…
I guess I get it because the snow falls by the feet here, much different than a place where .25 inches shuts the state down.
It looks deceitfully beautiful outside today. But I will NOT BE FOOLED. It is a temperature so cold, so unnatural that I have cold chills just thinking about it as I lay under 6 blankets.
We need to make a strategic exit to get rations, but.. at what cost?
I did put a “fruit loop” blend in the diffuser to try to distract the kids from being inside again. “Look it smells like Fruit Loops! Fun, happy! Hahaha,” I said crazily. The oldest was not amused, and now he wants me to bust out of here to buy him sugary, Fruit Loops. But I WILL NOT break. I WILL stand strong, and not feed them food that will make them bounce of these four walls more. The children would be fine, but I don’t think the walls can take much more..
We will stay huddled inside until warmer days. I hear that’s about 3 months away…. However, if you have children, make sure you use the “children-make-everything-longer” formula to convert the 3 months, into what it will actually feel like…. 6.25 years.
Finally, if you are reading this, one of two things has happened:
We have safely made it out of the house, found warmth, and I’m retelling stories of the dark times.
OR I have posted this last entry online as a warning after the children formed a mutiny and overthrew me.
It’s likely the latter. 😳
Whatever chaos is happening in your house, here’s that fruit loop diffuser recipe for ya so at least the craziness can smell good 😂🥰
